Our story
The people who live and work in both the town and village of Walton
Walton Forward began with a simple belief: the people who live and work in Walton should shape what downtown becomes. Rather than plans drawn up behind closed doors, this effort puts community ideas at the center — gathered in public, discussed in public, and carried forward in public.
The current focus is Walton's NY Forward application. NY Forward is a New York State program that invests in downtown revitalization, and the community's input right now will help decide which projects Walton puts forward. That makes this the moment to get involved.
What we do
- Gather community ideas for downtown projects, big and small.
- Run public surveys so every neighbor's priorities are counted.
- Host open meetings and workshops as part of the planning process.
- Keep everything transparent — approved ideas, survey results, and project updates are shared back with the community.
